- "We'll send a message to the Palace. It'll just mean a temporary transference of magical power. We can easily do that."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
A temporary transference of magical power was an apparently simple process where a wizard could give a Muggle temporary magical abilities through the form of a letter. The process was nonverbal and wandless.[1]
History[]
There was one known occasion where this transference happened. When Elizabeth II's handbag went missing, the Muggle Prime Minister wrote to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry requesting aid in finding it through magical means. Hermione Granger wrote a letter back to the Prime Minister temporarily transferring this power so that they could more easily find the handbag themselves.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- This ability cannot be in any way be considered canonical, as the Harry Potter books, a higher source of canon, clarify that non-magic people cannot use magic at all.
