Terence Bayler (24 January 1930 - 2 August 2016) was a New Zealand actor who portrayed the Bloody Baron in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.[1]
Personal life[]
Bayler, born in Whanganui to Amy and Harold Bayler, a stagehand, began his acting journey with a leading role in the New Zealand film Broken Barrier in 1952. Subsequently, he dedicated the majority of his six-decade-long acting career to England. Notably, he also graced the British screen with his presence in the 1981 New Zealand production Pictures and the BBC mini-series The Other Side of Paradise (1992), which was partially shot in Raratonga.[1]
