The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of twelve stories, first published in 1892, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring his famous detective Sherlock Holmes.[1]

Screed & Sons, a bookshop in Charing Cross Road that specialised in first editions and old books, had some copies of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes on display on the front window.[2]
