The Cabal was an organization of possible Dark Wizards and Witches who sought the Cursed Vaults for whatever lay within them and used various means to that end. The Cabal was active since at least the 1970s when it made an attempt to either abduct or kill Jacob's sibling, only to be foiled by Patricia Rakepick.
