The Evolution of Muggles From Mushrooms was a document written by Hambledon Quince. He used this study to propose the controversial theory that Muggles originated from mushrooms.[1]

- This may have been inspired by eugenics and racists who used pseudoscience to prove their superiority over different people, such as Nazis who used an unsubstantiated theory to prove Gipsies, Jews, Slavs and other untermenschen evolved from monkeys. It was also used by communists in Soviet propaganda to show peasants, "filthy capitalists" and other "class enemies" were only partially evolved from animals, as opposed to the superior, fully evolved "New Soviet Man".
