"Ron had taken over responsibility for Buckbeak's appeal. When he wasn't doing his own work, he was poring over enormously thick volumes with names like The Handbook of Hippogriff Psychology and Fowl or Foul? A Study of Hippogriff Brutality."
—Ron tries to help Hagrid with his appeal of Buckbeak's case.[src]

The Handbook of Hippogriff Psychology was a book about Hippogriffs.[1]

The Hogwarts Library kept a copy, which Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger used to research Hippogriffs for Rubeus Hagrid in their third year.[1]
