The Magic Flute (German: Die Zauberflöte) was an opera composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.[1] Zenith Xeep performed in this opera as the Queen of the Night.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- The Magic Flute was Mozart's last major work, premiering just two months before his untimely death in 1791, and is now considered one of the greatest operas in history. The Queen of the Night is the villain of the story, a powerful Sorceress and Queen who wants to steal the powerful artefact known as the Circle of the Sun. The role is a demanding one, infamous for the difficulty of the Queen's second aria, "Der Hölle Rache", suggesting that Zenith Xeep was an extremely skilled singer.
