This box was created by Professor Dame Phyllida Spore to store The Spore Scrolls, a Magical Enhancer, and Phyllida Spore's letter.[1]
History[]
After realising the dangerous nature of the Magical Enhancer, Phyllida Spore hid the scrolls in this box, which she protected with a special Anti-Alohomora Charm so that only the incumbent Headteacher of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry could open it. She also protected it using the Magical Enhancer's own magic, which caused it to ooze magical darkness whenever someone opened the box.[1]
When Albus Dumbledore discovered the dangerous nature of the scrolls, he decided to leave the box hidden in the Forbidden Forest, without looking inside the box. Later, during the 1980s or 1990s, he saw the box again after it was discovered by Jacob's sibling. Together they opened the box, and Jacob's sibling dispelled the darkness within, allowing them access to the contents.[1]
