The Unicorn Tapestries were a series of seven medieval tapestries created around the 15th century, depicting the hunting and capture of a unicorn.[2] They were depicted in Gryffindor Tower at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: One notable panel was in the Gryffindor common room, The Unicorn in Captivity, which showed a unicorn in a peaceful enclosure. Another, The Lady and the Unicorn, features a lady with the captured unicorn.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- These tapestries were possibly supposed to parallel the Slytherin Dungeon tapestries, which are very similar but depict a unicorn getting captured and having its blood collected instead.
