This golden tie was a portkey given to Theseus Scamander from Albus Dumbledore.

History

This tie was given to Theseus aboard the Great Wizarding Express by his brother Newt, who told him Dumbledore gave it to him and that it was useful, while they and Dumbledore's first army travelled to stop and confuse Gellert Grindelwald. The tie was ultimately a portkey, which saved Theseus's and Newt's lives when the brothers were escaping the Manticore in the Erkstag in Berlin, which was going to eat them. The portkey transported them both to a spot by the Great Lake at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
