Tiago da Silva is a digital artist who illustrated the Spanish 15th anniversary book covers of the Harry Potter books.[1][2]
Tiago hadn't read the books when he was approached, and originally designed digital covers based on the Harry Potter films. However, J. K. Rowling wanted illustrators not to copy how the books were portrayed in the films, and rejected Tiago's first cover artwork. He then designed new book covers, that were approved by Rowling.[2]
Career[]
He studied graphic design in college, and began by doing illustrations for editorial and marketing, and now does illustrations for video games, cinema and TV too. He has won awards and been showcased in various publications.[3][4]
