To Protect and Serve[1] was a portion of the training programme ministered by the Auror Office to those who successfully completed the stringent series of character and aptitude tests required to qualify for becoming an Auror-in-training.
It consisted of prospective members volunteering at the local black market scene to expand their knowledge and understanding of Dark forces in the wizarding world. It was also part of the training offered to members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force in the 2010s who sought to pursue a career as an Auror at a time when they were dealing with the consequences of the Calamity.
