- — Description of this hex[src]
The Toenail-growing hex (incantation unknown) is a hex that is used to cause the victim's toenails to grow at an alarmingly fast rate.[1]
History
This hex was invented by Severus Snape and recorded in his copy of Advanced Potion-Making during his school years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Therefore, it had not been approved by the British Ministry of Magic.[2]
In 1996, Harry Potter used this hex on Vincent Crabbe in the corridor, with "very entertaining results".[1] Ron Weasley also recommended trying it on Cormac McLaggen.[3]
