The Tomb of Treachery was the tomb of several unknown witches and wizards who died sometime prior to the 1890s. In order to deter intruders, the cave was infested with Inferi and contained several traps and puzzles in order to hinder people who wanted to access the cave's treasures. By the 1890–1891 school year, a colony of Thornback spiders had also infested the tomb, further deterring visitors. During this year, an unidentified Hogwarts student broke into the tomb, having recovered a map from Bainburgh Manor which pointed to treasure in this location. They made their way through the tomb and eventually recovered the set of robes that was the treasure.[1]
