The Tonic for Trace Detection was a potion that could be used to increase an individual's mental perception of Trace magic in the world, allowing one to realise far more many Traces than normally.[1]

This potion was brewed and used heavily by volunteer wizards and witches employed by the Statute of Secrecy Task Force during the Calamity in the 2010s, to help them detect Traces in the environment, allowing them to release Foundables to prevent Muggles from noticing them.[1]
