A dragon topiary at Hogwarts Castle
- "We're not performing topiary. Stop cutting the leaves and lop off the fruit."

History[]
- "Work is his greatest passion, so the Werewolf Capture Unit sent him to talk to Magical Maintenance. His second greatest passion is topiary and the sculpting of his prized rose bushes."
- — Barnaby Lee, regarding his uncle Cecil[src]
When attempting to cut off fruit from a Shrivelfig, a certain Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry student accidentally cut off some of the plant's leaves instead, causing Zygmunt Budge to note that topiary was not the intended goal and remind them to focus on the fruit.[2]

A topiary at Beauxbatons
The grounds of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic had various spiral topiaries.[3]
There were various dragon-shaped topiaries around the grounds of Hogwarts and the Highlands during the late 19th century. They were animated to look around and snarl, and when attacked, they would blast out red autumnal leaves as if breathing fire.[4]
Rubeus Hagrid, the gameskeeper at Hogwarts, was known to enjoy pruning various bushes on Hogwarts grounds into various topiary designs, such as dragons.[5]
Cecil Lee of the Werewolf Capture Unit had topiary as his greatest passion, after work: he was particularly proud of his prized rose bushes.[6]
