The Transylvanian Tackle was a Quidditch tactic which debuted during the 1473 Quidditch World Cup. The move was a feint of a punch to the nose to distract or confuse an opposing player. As long as contact was not made, the move was not illegal, but it was difficult to pull off on speeding broomsticks.[1]
