The Trial and Error case was an investigation conducted by the British Ministry of Magic after the influential witch Brunhilde Stokke of the Wizengamot complained about the Beast Division delays in solving the case involving a beast ransacking her house. Mathilda Grimblehawk and her partner searched wide and far for the lost file in the Ministry of Magic and uncovered clues to a new case.[1]
