The trial of Dolores Umbridge took place some time after the Battle of Hogwarts and the defeat of Lord Voldemort on 2 May 1998. It was held in Courtroom Ten, where visitors were allowed to attend.[1]
Overview[]
The trial involved Dolores Umbridge being sentenced to imprisonment in Azkaban for her crimes against Muggle-borns during the Second Wizarding War.[2] It took place in Courtroom Ten in the British Ministry of Magic headquarters, and visitors were permitted to watch.[1]

Shortly before or after the trial, Umbridge managed to escape with the help of Corban Yaxley, the Carrows and Walden Macnair, leading to the Battle at the Ministry. However, Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger arrived at the scene and recaptured her later that same day.[1][3]
