The Trophy Secret Passage was a hidden passageway that connected the Trophy Room to the fourth floor of Hogwarts Castle. It was located behind a large mirror, which was in actuality a door that could be unsealed with the Unlocking Charm. The passageway was somewhat dangerous, containing several very deep pits that had to be manoeuvred using Flipendo Blocks and switches that activated moving platforms. Severus Snape was aware of this passage's existence, and searched it for Harry Potter's presence after being informed that he was in the Trophy Room at midnight sometime during 1991.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the Game Boy Advance version of the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone video game, Harry uses this passageway to escape the Trophy Room. In the novel, however, he escaped through the Armoury instead.
