Tubeworms are a general group of any worm-like aquatic creatures that secrete a mineral tube around their body that they can curl into for protection.[2] At least one species of tubeworm can be used as a potion ingredient.
History[]
In November 1992, Severus Snape made Harry Potter stay behind in a Potions lesson to scrape tubeworms off the classroom desks.[1]
