- "My parents drag me to the Ministry all the time to 'instil an appreciation of the law.'"
- — Tulip Karasu on her parents' actions[src]
Mr Karasu was a wizard who worked at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in the British Ministry of Magic.[2]
Biography[]
During his youth, he attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he and his future wife were both Sorted into Ravenclaw.[4] After graduating, he got a job in the British Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.[2] Neither Mr nor Mrs Karasu believed Lucius Malfoy's claim that he had followed Voldemort only because he was acting under the Imperius Curse and Tulip occasionally eavesdropped on her parents when they thought their daughter could not hear them, during which they discussed their belief that there were former Death Eaters now employed by the Ministry.[5]
