Biography

They began their magical education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at some point in or before 1993, where they were Sorted into an unknown House. At some point, the two started their romantic relationship, and in the 1993–1994 school year, they engaged in sexual intercourse in an alcove at Hogwarts Castle.

Behind the scenes

• The scene of the couple engaging in intercourse appears during the end credits of the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, set against the backdrop of the Marauder's Map. Amidst hundreds of footprints around on the map, two footprints stand out: one person with their back against the wall, legs apart, and another facing them, their feet slightly moving.
  • Rus Wetherell, who was in charge of the sequence and responsible for the credit scenes and, of course, the footprints, said in an interview, "There was an alcove in the artwork; it was kind of like an opportunity to have a couple of students hiding in there. So I just threw a couple of feet down. It was just something that was amusing for the adults in the audience, and kids wouldn’t really understand."
• Despite fan theories over who the pair could be, Wetherell says they're not meant to be any character in particular.
