This Niffler lived in the Magical Creatures Reserve during the 1980s and early 1990s.

Biography

This Niffler lived on the Magical Creatures Reserve. During the selection process for the 'best creature' section of the Hogwarts' Favourites contest, Jacob's sibling took Penny Haywood to the Magical Creatures Reserve to decide between an Abraxan and a Niffler, using this Niffler and the Abraxan that lived there as model examples.

Behind the scenes

• Newt Scamander wrote in his book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that Nifflers were black-haired. However, this Niffler is brown and white.
• This may be the same individual as Rubeus Hagrid's Niffler.
  • This cannot be the same individual as the Niffler at the Magical Creatures Reserve as their coat patterns are different.
• If the player picks this Niffler as their favourite creature then Penny will agree and pick Nifflers too, causing Nifflers to win the overall contest. Otherwise, if the player chooses not to pick then Penny will still pick this Niffler, causing Nifflers to win. If the player picks the Abraxan then Nifflers won’t win.
