Re: Signature

Yeah, no problemo. I thought the ~~~~ did that automatically. Cubs Fan (Talk to me)

It didn't work. I did everything, but then on my userpage it turned out as a link that led to nowhere. HermioneFan1 19:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Ok...thank you;) i'm a principiant so...sorry the errors (and portuguese-sorry the english that is not so good). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dumbledorefan (talkcontribs).

Yo back atcha ...

Hi - good to here from you. Yeah, I'm alive and kicking. I'm keeping an eye on things around here, and hope to be back up to my old editing level in a few weeks or so once I sort out my private life a little better. I'll try and hop on IRC sometime over the weekend if possible and get up to speed on everything. Hope you're doing ok as well. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 15:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

No, we don't have one. It would be really nice though.--Matoro183 (Talk) 21:32, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Maybe we could put 'Selected Picture' in the upper right hand corner (like the snitch).--Matoro183 (Talk) 21:42, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I believe I've found a way. It only works in monobook and monaco, but it works. See here. Look in the upper right corner.--Matoro183 (Talk) 22:54, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Leaky cauldron

Hey, I just have a question about the leaky cauldron. I was on vacation for the summer and couldn't come on Harry POtter Wiki so i don't think I know about what happened to the forum Leaky Cauldron. I seemed to have missed out on what happened so could you please tell me about it and fill me in? That'll be much appreciated, thanks. Plus, what is the new forum The Help Desk?Skrox29 16:32, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Erm...so I'm not allowed to remove any of the comments on my page? Harrypotterfreak 04:24, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

i hope you dont mind me asking, but why do you think the worse thing in the harry potter universe is the epilogue in deathly hallows?

User advertising fanfiction

I just had a concern about User:KH, who -- although she has made many good contributions to the wiki -- has recently been basically advertising for her fanfiction. I reverted the recent addition she made to the Harry Potter websites page, but she's also added her link to the Talk:Albus Potter page. Isn't this a violation of the Talk Page Policy? I didn't want to warn her, since I don't know if I even have the authority to do that, or if adding links to two pages constitutes enough for a warning, but I thought I should bring it to an admin's attention. I don't want to cause any trouble, though, so please let me know if I should just ignore this kind of thing in the future and leave it to the admins to keep an eye on. I answered, reverted, and warned. -- Freakatone Talk 14:14, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

You treat the other members like dirt just because we are not administrators that infuriates me as someone who particularly enjoys harrypotter it is not in the good spirit jim did not deserve that even if it was vandalism wow you are probably going to delete me for speaking my mind i had multiple accounts to test you and you failed wow if you delete me you will regret itSirius snape 17:00, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Would this be considered a personal attack?--Matoro183 (Talk) 17:57, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
No. –K.A.JTCE 18:24, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
"If you delete me you will regret it" - that's a threat.--Matoro183 (Talk) 21:34, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
It does not matter. I already replied. Its fine. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 22:04, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, I'm not very good at computer stuff. Harrypotterfreak 15:00, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Re: Vandalism

I saw it on #cvn-wikia, the countervandalism channel, reverted it, and went to #wikia-harrypotter to see if anyone could do anything about it :)--{{subst:User:Eulalia459678/Currentsig}} 22:08, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Bot

Yeah, ya know how you used to have to copy and paste all that stuff? It looks like:
<div class="boilerplate metadata vfd xfd-closed" style="background-color: #F3F9FF; margin: 2em 0 0 0; padding: 0 10px 0 10px; border: 1px solid #AAAAAA;"> :''The following discussion is an archived discussion. <span style="color:red">'''Please do not modify it.'''</span>
<div class="boilerplate metadata discussion-archived" style="background-color: #F3F9FF; margin: 2em 0 0 0; padding: 0 10px 0 10px; border: 1px solid #AAAAAA;"> :''The following discussion is archived. <span style="color:red">'''Please do not modify it.'''</span> Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this page.'' {{#if:{{{1|}}}|''A summary of the conclusions reached follows.'' ::{{{1}}} ---- }} <!-- from Template:discussion top-->

The bottom for the first is just </div> .

But the bottom for the second one is:
:''The '''above''' discussion is preserved as an [[Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page|archive]]. <span style="color:red">'''Please do not modify it.'''</span> Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page, such as the current discussion page. No further edits should be made to this page.''<!-- from Template:Archive bottom --></div>
They just take up a lot of space on the pages, and they make my brower run really slowly. Hope the bot can fix it! -- Freakatone Talk 14:15, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

RE: Colors

Yeah thats true, link would've made more sense. The updates wouldn't be a prob though I don't think. I just have a problem remembering the color codes a lot of the time. Thank you. HPguru 00:35, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

In-universe prespective

I understand that one of the policies of this Wiki is that articles about characters etc are to be written in an in-universe perspective. As such, comments by JKR are to be included in an "Author's Comments" section or "Behind the Scenes". In the article about Draco Malfoy, it has in the "Relationships" section under Harry "J K Rowling has confirmed that, as adults, Draco and Harry made their peace, but are still not friend". I moved this statement to "Behind the Scenes" as it was not from an in-universe perspective, but someone moved it back stating "It is relevant to their relationship." So, now I am confused about the in-universe perspective policy. I am certain I have read the policy on this Wiki but I can't find it now. Help please! Potty Harrer 21:34, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
