Claims needing verification, TMR's Horcrux research

Hi, there, Kate! Hope all is well! Because you seem to have a great eye for "things not quite right" (I still can't believe the whole Spellotape thing went undiscussed for so long lol), I figured I'd throw this out as well. Comparing to GOF and OOTP, I'm relatively less familiar with HBP and DH, but unfortunately I currently am not in a position to indulge in things (not sure if it's a Buddhist custom or a general curtesy for people having deaths in their family), anyhow, in both articles Hogwarts Library and Restricted Section, there's the somewhat meaty paragraph about TMR gaining his info via researching the Restricted Section. I've used text-search and the only time "restricted" appeared in HBP was when Hermione mentioned it. So I'm just like, was everything just assumption etc. (and therefore should be removed?). Just thought another opinion of the matter would be helpful. =D --Sammm✦✧(talk) 05:40, April 7, 2019 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the help! It's super odd because when I text-search "restric" (not even completing the word) in my 2012 UK DH epub, there's no result, so I have not (re)viewed Hermione's statement. I honestly thought the whole thing was speculation because the few times I glanced at the convo between TMR and Sluggy, I just didn't get what the paragraphs were claiming, so it's really good to know that it didn't come from nowhere. I'm glad I asked because on a bad day I might have considered removing them entirely (or at most relocating and heavily edited to be at BTS section instead) since the text-search was not picking up a critical factor. This reminded me how incredulous I had been when I at one point saw the phrasing of TMR's reasoning of using the Lestrange Vault for Hufflepuff's Cup; I thought it was completely elitism and somewhat rude, but it turns out there was basis of why it was worded that way, only, it was Harry's speculation on the matter, not like, an actual fact. I guess some people really do take Harry's opinion super serious. lol
Thanks again for the input! Since the text-search for me isn't enabling me to narrow down and view all related statements, if I do work on it, it likely won't be anytime soon. (I feel super weird for saying this, but I think it'll also be a little awkward that after the acknowledgment, I made no move to edit, so just letting you know why lol. And obviously, anyone who's up to tackling it would be appreciated. I'm pretty awful at wording things. xP) --Sammm✦✧(talk) 12:10, April 7, 2019 (UTC)
Sorry for bringing this back; I did actually mean to followup this topic but just didn't have time to do so (well, until I saw it got moved to the archive lol. Felt like better late than never.) I've seen the modification you made on the subject matter, and would like to know your thoughts on still relocating them to BTS? Since it's only a possibility, it feels like it shouldn't be under the "History" section as technically it's only theorized that "it could have happened", and not "this is what happened," if that makes any sense. The one similar issue I can think of off the top of my head is Orchideous, where the last 2 bulletpoints in BTS used to be included in the main article, but were relocated due to "not 100% sure it's actually the case". --Sammm✦✧(talk) 06:35, May 11, 2019 (UTC)

Rionach O'Neal's POA scene confirmation

Sup Kate! Just dropping by to let you know (with the bunch of WU info, it can be overlooked) that Marianne Chase confirmed via Twitter that the Chaser in POA was indeed played by her (source provided in the Talk page, figured if continuing the discussion, it'd be best stay there xP); unsure, but it seems like that'd make Rionach's POA film appearance non-canon. (Only POA; the rest should be fine?)

Have replied to the respective Talk page. TBH, I didn't actually think the actress would respond lmao; it's nice that she did! --Sammm✦✧(talk) 06:35, May 11, 2019 (UTC)

RE Short links

Hi there - I think Category:Appearance templates has examples of all the short links available, and clicking on each, such as Template:QTA should provide examples of the options for each (such as {{QTA|R|F}} = Quidditch Through the Ages, Foreword by Albus Dumbledore. Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 17:38, May 10, 2019 (UTC)

More input

Sup Kate! =D Curious about your thoughts regarding to Talk:Crystal Stewart! Like, I'm seriously not trusting any deductions happening on HPW lol --Sammm✦✧(talk) 19:13, May 16, 2019 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you very much for your lovely message. I am so glad this repulsive behaviour has stopped and I agree, it is still repulsive to see the images appear on the adverts on other pages. Luckily, these will soon vanish and the ordinary images will start appearing again. I despise any attempts to destroy or undermine the cleanliness of this amazing wiki. You too, are doing a superb job with maintaining this wiki. It is warming to know your work is appreciated by others and to have friends on this Wiki. Enjoy the rest of your day and happy editing. RedWizard98 (talk) 20:29, May 16, 2019 (UTC)

Cheers for the nice feedback Kate. RedWizard98 (talk) 09:49, May 17, 2019 (UTC)

Just to let you know Kate, as I sure you very well do, I am not "RedWizard92". This is a sock puppet account of that pervert we dealt with last night. Some people are very unintelligent, miserable losers with nothing better to do in their lives but cause problems for clever people, like ourselves. Happy editing and keep fighting vandalism. RedWizard98 (talk) 12:07, May 17, 2019 (UTC)

Hello Kate, thank you for your friendly response. It is very alarming that someone has had the unfiltered right to vandalise our wiki for so long, without any administrator attention, I think it is rather lazy on their part, to supposedly uphold community rules and regulations, yet are nowhere to be seen. Sometime, I think I would like to myself apply for administration rights, so I can help enforce community rules, and block vandals when other admins do not notice them. Hopefully, this appalling situation will be done and dusted soon, and I know Fandom central will soon get things sorted, so, just remember, "Constant Vigilance!"RedWizard98 (talk) 16:15, May 17, 2019 (UTC)

Good work Kate, for stopping the same brain dead, low-life scumbag who keeps on trying to vandalise articles. Clearly, by copying my username, he is evidently jealous of my style and reputation, and probably even my profile picture. Just keep up with the great work, and hopefully, this utterly unintelligent crap will end soon. You are a true editor and HP fan, happy editing. RedWizard98 (talk) 20:23, May 18, 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I found some new pieces to the puzzle that is HP Wizards Unite, and tried to put them together on the game's talk page. Of course, I'm waiting for a staff to make a decision as to whether the source is valid, I only wanted to hear what your thoughts were? Maester Martin (talk) 13:26, May 18, 2019 (UTC)

Hi Kates39; the wordmark was created using photoshop. Lettering was taken from a Fantastic Beasts font and the scrollwork was cut from promotional posters, scaled down in size and then manually placed. - Cavalier OneGryffindorcrest(Wizarding Wireless Network) 10:51, June 3, 2019 (UTC)
