Re:Jacob's sibling page

Greetings. :-)

I appreciate the compliment, but to embark on that particular page would be too big of a job to do by myself. At present, I was hoping to fill out all the information on Dumbledore, specifically, from the game, and then later move onto the pages of the other teachers, but you know, we could try to figure out a way to do both? When I began editing Dumbledore's page, this is what I did.

First, I opened this page. Here, we have a written walkthrough of the game where I can look chapter for chapter, and look at the side quests for a a given character to see if he or she appear or are otherwise mentioned in a given chapter in a given year. This page even have a search engine, so you can look up locations and/or people. Write "Flitwick", and you get instances of him showing up in roughly chronological order. Write "Hog's Head", and you will get a list of chapters during which Hog's Head was visited, etc. Very useful. :-)

Then I use our very own wiki page , where I have all the chapters listed so I can look them up when I need to reference something.

Then I go on YouTube to re-watch specific chapters to make sure I don't miss any information by taking notes of the dialouge.

Is this methodology something you think you could make good use of as well, friend? If so, then you can work on the MC page, (main character, what we here call Jacob's sibling), that way, I can work on Dumbledore, and should you need help to elaborate on things on the MC page, I got something to work with. How does that sound? Tfoc (talk) 18:42, March 23, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for replying so promptly. With regards to my request for your assistance in lending your talents to Jacob's sibling's page, I apologise for the misunderstanding I caused in that I mistakenly implied that you embark on editing the page by yourself. I merely hoped that we could both assist each other in the betterment of the page, not intending for you to bear the challenge of editing the page by yourself, so, again, I apologise for that.
With regards to the methodology you presented, I wholeheartedly concur with it, as I find it to be a very effective and meticulous way of facilitating the editing of the pages related to the game. I had never even considered the first 2 methods before you mentioned them to me, having had to constantly depend on YouTube by watching and re-watching many, many chapters of the game (as despite having the game myself, I am still only in the early stages, due in no small part to the aggressive microtransaction system in an otherwise very fine game) to help me with my editing. So thank you for presenting such an agreeable and invaluable research model to render the editing of those pages more convenient and less tedious. I will most certainly make good use of it.
You can contine editing Dumbledore's page if you so desire, I have no qualms. My first message requesting your assistance in helping me edit Jacob's sibling page was merely so that the page didn't miss out on your exemplary editing, but anything you contribute to the MC's page is certainly more than welcome. In addition, I have come to your point of view regarding our differences on Jacob's sibling defeat of Moody being attributable to the game's mechanics. I have one last query to ask, if you would be so kind as to answer it: do you agree with my judgement in denoting the MC's magical prowess to be masterful? I am merely asking as I value your opinion. Thank you for taking your time in reading all this and hope to hear from you soon. Mite-Man16 (talk) 21:12, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
You are making me blush! :'D
Thanks again for the compliments, my friend; you have nothing to apologize for, I just misunderstood what you meant. ;-)
For the time being, I will continue to edit Dumbledore's page, and I will give Jacob's sibling a look every now and again and make edits as I see a need for them. I'm not quite certain what you mean by 'masterful', though? In comparison to what? Tfoc (talk) 21:42, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
I mean, do you think the MC is powerful enough to have their magical prowess labelled as Magical Mastery? Mite-Man16 (talk) 22:00, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
I think that "magical mastery" is something that comes with age and experience. As of year 6, the MC isn't even a legal adult yet, and he/she has yet much to learn. and we don't even know how the character's gonna end up. I think that we should at least wait until the overarching storyline is over and done with, so we have a complete picture of everything the character can do. Tfoc (talk) 23:27, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
Perhaps, but I think we should just leave it as Magical Mastery until such time as the subsequent chapters convince us otherwise. In the meantime, please feel free to pop a message on my talk page whenever you want, and I hope we can help each other out on these pages related to HM. :) Mite-Man16 (talk) 04:27, March 24, 2020 (UTC)

Hello, once more.

Hello, I was wondering if you could help me out with something? I figured that since 'R' is such a central player in the race for the vaults, perhaps we could work together to try and find every mention of 'R' in each year? This, however, is something that will recuire some benchwatching on youtube, I doubt the page I referenced will be of much help, since it just offers the gist of them. What if you look through year 1, I look through year 2, when finished, you take year 3, and when I'm finished, I take year 4, etc? We gather info on every mention or reference to 'R', and make pages for for example 'R's message to Ben Copper', and so on, then we compare notes and so on? Tfoc (talk) 15:18, March 27, 2020 (UTC)

On second thought, I agree we do one year at the time, but I also suggest it might be less messy in a sense if we do in chronologically? What if we say that you do year 1, 2 and 3, which are all about ten chapters each and fairly short, then I do 4, which I think is closer to 20 chapters, then we work together on year 5 and 6? Tfoc (talk) 19:17, March 27, 2020 (UTC)

Quite sufficient. :-D

but I think you missed one of the messages in year two? ^^'

I aslo think it suffices to say MC was in a "different Common Room" than their own. Which one it is, doesn't really matter, since going into any other Common Room than your own is against the rules and that's what they did while following R's "paper trail"?. Tfoc (talk) 14:26, March 28, 2020 (UTC)

Shouldn't we make a page for each message from R, just like we have pages for letters? Tfoc (talk) 15:58, March 28, 2020 (UTC)

Hello! No, I had not seen it, but I quite agree, even though we have to find a way to phrase things so we know which message R leaves behind that was addressed to which person. The first two ones were to Ben, (although I daresay 'R' wanted MC to find them, and predicted correctly Ben would leave them somewhere MC would find them, though that's speculation on my part), and some are to Jacob, others to the MC, etc. Tfoc (talk) 14:32, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

Also, also, since we know now that R's messenger isn't one person, but more of a symbol of R's presence, should we change it to describe how students imperiused to carry out R's bidding are made to don these crimson robes, describing the attire and how it's used instead? Tfoc (talk) 14:46, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

At the beginning of the year, a student was placed under the Imperius Curse, donned the red cloak and attacked MC and Ben. That's Rowan in a red cloak. Tfoc (talk) 16:07, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

Well, I mean - Rowan did speak in past tense, as though he was repeating himself. And Rakepick was the only member of 'R' at Hogwarts, and Rowan the only student post-Ben known to have been imperiused. Had it been someone else, it would've been mentioned at some point. I know that when Rowan was in the hospital wing, Rakepick said that whoever cast the curse had to have been in the courtyard at the time, but we know that's false. All that's recquired for someone to maintain their hold over an imperiused individual is proximity, and Rakepick was a teacher, with daily access to Rowan all year. Tfoc (talk) 16:51, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

No reason to apologize, I like to discuss this stuff. And also -- yeah, sounds good to me. :-) Tfoc (talk) 17:49, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

I feel like I owe you a bit of an apology, seen as you so diligently started on our project to gather R references and so on and I'm starting on year 4 first now, once I've posted this - a bit later than you did - but yesterday, someone tried to dox me on discord, so I spent half the day reporting him to various servers we have in common, and helped moderators on these different servers track down sock puppet accounts of his, and then I had to notify the moderators on the servers his sock puppets were part of, that was not on the list for the original account he tried to dox me with, it was all a big mess. I'm finally done, though, so I'll buckle down and start now. :-) Tfoc (talk) 13:01, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

I took a look on the page you sent me, but I'm afraid this is something I'm entirely unfamiliar with. Do you happen to know how to set up one of these? Tfoc (talk) 23:16, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

We can do it on your talk page. :-) Tfoc (talk) 00:26, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I checked the Sandbox, and I believe you made a slight error? Ben wasn't absent from the Welcoming Feast in Year 1, but Year 2. :

Also, if you go on YouTube and search: "Hogwarts Mystery: The Letter From No One," do you agree that this sounds like a warning about 'R'?

Tfoc (talk) 13:56, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

The letter reads:

'Dear (Full name)

You are in grave danger. Your investigations into the Cursed Vaults has drawn the attention of a group that is not to be trifled with. Be careful, but remain courageous. I'm depending on you to reach the final vault before the others. I hope that the next time I deliver a message, the circumstances are far less mysterious.

Sincerely, a friend."

Can you remember if we ever learned who sent it? I do have a theory,... ^^' Tfoc (talk) 15:26, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

I've already seen the video in question, and it looked more like he destroyed it. I saw flames, and it falling apart. It could be that he destroyed the broom, but that it could be repaired magically, since he later talked about giving it back. Sure, we could talk over discord, if you have a name and that little code on the end, I'd look you up. Tfoc (talk) 23:04, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

Hello there, I would highly recommend you also report User:Scarletdan22111222 for their poor editorial behaviour and for consistently violating image policy, as I myself have. The more attention is given towards rogue editors who damage this wiki, the higher the chance is of them being stopped. Keep up the good work yourself. --RedWizard98 (talk) 00:21, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for the appreciation, that is very kind. I have to admit, because I love HP so much I do try very hard to maintain a high quality wiki, and I hate it when others think they can flaunt and disregard the rules for things like fanon and vandalism. Keep doing a good job. --RedWizard98 (talk) 00:39, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

I certainly will do fellow wizard. Good night from where I am.--RedWizard98 (talk) 00:57, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

Hi again, if you want to report users, you can report them here (, or alternatively if nobody responds (as I have often found on this page as of late), you can also tell fandom central ( about your concerns. The latter is best for reporting extreme cases, but you can use whatever you want. --RedWizard98 (talk) 03:55, April 1, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Hogwarts Mystery reference template

Hello Mite-Man16,
The Hogwarts Mystery reference template is located at Template:HM.
Best regards, stay safe and healthy,

Harry Potter

May I ask why you deleted the 6,000+ bytes I added to his page last month? Your only excuse was your vague claim that, in your opinion, my edit was impossibly unnecessary. --SWLover2 (talk) 21:32, April 29, 2020 (UTC)

If I had a nickel for every reason as to why I reverted your edit, SWLover 2, I'd give Jeff Bezos an inferiority complex. Okay, where to even begin?
Firstly, I deliberately left a "vague claim" regarding why I undid your contribution because it was entirely self-explanatory, and I would have thought that my statement would be sufficient enough to bring you back to your senses. I would really rather not have to delve into this matter deeper, because it would have been almost laughable if I needlessly attempted to justify my reasons, so I'm not going to endeavour on that meaningless task, lest you are really clamouring for a justification. Rest assured, though, you are not going to be persuading anyone that that specific contribution of yours warrants merit. I would please advise you to drop this matter, as you are pretty much in the wrong of it all. Mite-Man16 (talk) 09:06, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
Your mindless rudeness, insulting my sane grip on reality, and old-fashioned "if I had a nickel" cliche doesn't serve you. All you did was elaborate on your aforementioned claim of unreasonably excessive vagueness regarding my edits. Longer doesn't necessarily mean more coherent, remember that. If I had more time on my hands, I'd be trying to figure out why you even wasted time grumbling on my talk page to begin with. So saying I'm in the wrong beyond all doubts is a hypocritical and utterly false statement. Cheers. --SWLover2 (talk) 10:16, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
I fail to see how I conveyed any sense of "mindless rudeness" in my previous message; rather, I was expressing scorn for the fact that you think your reverted edit retains any semblance of credibility. And how on Earth does my "bring you back to your senses" statement imply in any way that you have a tenuous grip on reality? I'm sure you've come across this phrase before, and thus know of its true connotations, which bears no malicious undertones, although your claim that I was "insulting" you is a clear attempt to distort my original meaning, and slyly warp it to your favour as a means to slander me, which is really quite pathetic. Also, given that another user called Yechezkelb has advised you to thoroughly read wiki policy, justifying that a "Weakness" section does not warrant mention on an article, I'm under the impression that you have successfully been dissuaded from adding your abysmal contribution to that article. But you are, of course, more than entitled to stubbornly disregard wiki policy and add your "contribution" to Harry's article, if it's your dearest ambition to receive a multitude of warnings and hopefully get banned. And thank you for demonstrating you mature you really are by labelling my message as "whining" on your talk page; you must be proud now. "Regards" Mite-Man16 (talk) 11:08, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
I'm sorry, are you trying to make some big and deep and meaningful point about your justification for wiki policy, all I see is text, text, text, something about you futilely trying to cover up your passive-aggressive insults and claiming you're not being a whiner as you whine simultaneously, something along those lines, and writing in italic mistaking bluntness for childishness, something about how pathetic and abysmal and stubborn you perceive some 22-year-old girl you don't even know as, yak yak yak, you're an allegedly legendary editor and my so-called trashy contributions aren't even real, hence the quotation marks, condescension, frustration, or whatever it is you're hoping to accomplish by giving me some more of your time. (Yeah, I'm giving you my time too. So you can know what to do next time someone stands up to you, what's your excuse?) See you around kid. If you'll excuse me I'm going to get started on my homeschooling and get one step closer to a Bachelor's Degree while you find something else to get triggered about. Happy trails, --SWLover2 (talk) 12:08, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
Don't try to conceal your inadequacy by carelessly disregarding and slandering my message. All that you are claiming about me is entirely false and unfounded. Firstly, I never even insinuated that I perceived you as "pathetic, abysmal and stubborn". I specifically connoted that your malicious attempt to distort my meaning behind the phrase "bring you back to your senses" was pathetic, but never did I direct that term at you. In addition, I only ever called your particular edit to Harry Potter's "Weaknesses" abysmal, not your contributions to the wiki as a whole, and never in the slightest did I imply that I considered myself a "legendary editor", so refrain from putting unwarranted words into my mouth in your imprudent attempts to cast me as some arrogant, self-righteous and imperious jerk. And discard your patronising disposition in that you addressed me as "kid"; you convict yourself as the arrogant one here. And good on you for pursuing your Bachelor's Degree; there's just that little matter of me not giving a crap at all. Cheerio! Mite-Man16 (talk) 12:54, April 30, 2020 (UTC)

Snape on fire image

Hi there, just to clarify, does your recent image of Snape on fire depict the casting of the Fire-making spell? If so, the image can be integrated into the spell's article. Thanks --RedWizard98 (talk) 21:06, May 4, 2020 (UTC)

Hi again, you can view all uploaded images onto this wiki simply by clicking on the explore tab as shown on the web page, and then scrolling down to images. Thanks for informing me that image depicts Lacarnum Inflamari, as I know that spell is taught in HM. Oh and sorry If I came across a little blunt before with an edit summary, it was just because the said article was written in an out of universe style. Happy editing. --RedWizard98 (talk) 22:30, May 4, 2020 (UTC)

Butterfly conjuring spell

Hi, just wondering is the spell which conjures butterflies formally called the Butterfly conjuring spell in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery? If it is, it can be clearly denoted as such in its article. --RedWizard98 (talk) 00:14, May 7, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know. --RedWizard98 (talk) 00:21, May 7, 2020 (UTC)

HM templates

The HM template is placed on all topics which are mentioned or appear in the game; this applies to all spoiler templates. You also removed many of my book references, which I have thus restored. Feel free to expand upon mentions though in articles, but please do not erase other people's references, as I go to great effort with them. Thank you --RedWizard98 (talk) 13:11, May 15, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you very much for your appreciation. I do think I work very hard and try to help novice users, so it is very pleasant to know that you are happy with what I do. Kind regards --RedWizard98 (talk) 15:04, May 22, 2020 (UTC)

Hi again, it is best to keep redirect links out of articles, as it it means that the hyperlinks themselves are direct to the page they link to. Kind regards --RedWizard98 (talk) 15:01, May 23, 2020 (UTC)

I guess vocab is very speculative, but redirects are links which do work, but either relate to an old article title (The Muggle article is now called "Non-magic people"), or when it applies to the plural (Charms is a better link than Charms or simple Charms). It is a very little issue really, but I think it is better to keep links fairly basic. --RedWizard98 (talk) 17:10, May 23, 2020 (UTC)

Bubble spell

Hello, regarding the Bubble spell, well done for identifying it and for uploading a great new upload, which I've put in the info-box. In Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, is this spell taught in a lesson, or used by a specific character? Kind regards and stay safe --RedWizard98 (talk) 23:30, May 29, 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I changed the image because of your upload's high quality, and the fact it actually depicts the spell itself. The image which was in it, only really showed the bubbles produced by it, so I placed it in the main body instead. Kind regards --RedWizard98 (talk) 00:44, May 30, 2020 (UTC)

Hi there, I see you are on discord but I can't seem to find your account on there, so could you please send me perhaps a link to it, as I wish to ask you a question that's all. Kind regards --RedWizard98 (talk) 08:02, June 24, 2020 (UTC)
