You might want to leave a note for User:Seth Cooper as he is the most active admin. User:Cavalier One has not done any major editing in a couple years. Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 17:54, July 28, 2016 (UTC)
How exciting! Seems to be a great idea -- go ahead, it's fine. Thanks! --19:22, July 28, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Fantastic Beasts mainpage design
Hi! It looks great! If I were to make any changes, I'd perhaps add the Harry Potter Wiki logo somewhere, because people might just skim through the "About the Wiki" text or miss it altogether and think they're on a Fantastic Beasts-specific wiki.
Oh, and do go ahead with the wiki-wide message! --01:17, October 20, 2016 (UTC)

While I'm liking the Fantastic Beasts redesign on the main page, the infoboxes and tophats on articles are now almost impossible to read (see Newton Scamander or Dougal for instance). How long is the plan to keep the current FB design? Long enough to justify updating all the infobox background colors to be readable? Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 23:52, November 14, 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info - hope it works! I'm seeing lots of navboxes (eg Template:Creatures by classification or Template:Staff) that are also difficult or impossible to read because of the shift to brightly colored text so hopefully the CSS can help fix these as well. Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 04:56, November 15, 2016 (UTC)
- It is readable now, but definitely at the expense of the darker, more Fantastic theme. Given that the fandom will be with Fantastic Beasts for the next 8 years, it seem like a design for the articles that is similar to the main page and that fits with the series would be worth pursuing. If someone is willing to adjust the CSS for the infoxboxes to work with the darker backgrounds and brighter text, I am willing to go through and fix all the tophats, navboxes, and other templates to work with the new theme as well. Let me know if that might work. Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 23:47, November 15, 2016 (UTC)
As an administrator of another wiki that uses templates on the Main Page, I would like to suggest that you page protect the templates used on the Main Page, preferably to admins/crats only. Currently it appears they are not protected, which means that anyone can edit them. This is especially important the more site traffic you get, considering that the Harry Potter wiki is now highlighted across all of Fandom/Wikia. Simsilikesims talk 04:13, November 17, 2016 (UTC)
RE:Release of Fantastic Beasts DVD
Sounds great! I've been thinking that we probably should start incorporating at least some permanent Fantastic Beasts elements around the wiki, since the spin-offs will be around for next 7 years or so, anyway. Cheers. --02:03, March 3, 2017 (UTC)
Can you add vi.harrypotter.wikia.com? Invisibility 11:12, April 1, 2017 (UTC)
On behalf of a fair few people over in Discussion, I would like to point out that the Fantastic Beasts cover art is, well ... in need of updating, I guess you could say. It was fine back in November, when FB was new, but now we think it should be back to a picture which has Harry Hermione and Ron in it, rather than a photo solely of the author of one of the Hogwarts textbooks ... it's sort of like having a picture just of J.K. as the cover of a Goblet of Fire DVD.
I also had a thought ... if it's possible, it might be an idea to allow users to edit the main page, but, obviously, any edits would require approval of someone in charge, so as to prevent low quality cover art, trolling, jokes, editing happening too often etc.
