Potter family

The Potter name does not descend from the Peverells and although they soon marry into that family it is incorrect to say the "Potter" is the surname of a wizarding family descended from Ignotus Peverell and a twelfth-century wizard named Linfred of Stinchcombe". Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 18:20, September 6, 2016 (UTC)

As the article is about the Potter family as a whole, it can't really be summed up as half-blood or pure-blood given that Harry and his descendants are half-blood, but Charlus Potter and his children are likely pure-blood as he married Dorea Black and appears on the Black Family tapestry. --Ironyak1 (talk) 20:05, September 6, 2016 (UTC)

Pure-blood

Why are you adding known half-bloods to the pure-blood page? The header for the column is "Known pure bloods" so it makes no sense to put non-pure bloods in there - it's not meant to be a list of every known members for each family. Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk) 15:11, April 16, 2017 (UTC)

House of Black

As a heads up, the bot is going to replace (again) many of the Black links you editted with the root page instead of the redirect. For instance, Cedrella Weasley is just a redirect to Cedrella Black so the bot adds the pipe like this [[Cedrella Black|Cedrella Weasley]] so as to minimize the need for redirects whenever possible. I wouldn't waste time trying to unpipe the links as they will be automatically updated to that format every time the bot runs. Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk)

Godric's Hollow

You need to provide a source that places Godric's Hollow in Devon. The only reference I know of is from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Chapter 16 (Godric's Hollow) which only says West Country. Without a source, those related changes will be undone. Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk) 18:17, April 20, 2017 (UTC)

First Wizarding War

The names you are adding to this page are Fanon - they have no source in canon. If you continue to edit war over this, an admin will be asked to step in. --Ironyak1 (talk) 17:32, April 21, 2017 (UTC)

Family categories

Please don't add 'Families' and 'Wizarding families' categories to families with a more specific category like 'Pure-blood families'. The Categories are organized with sub-categories, like file folders inside other folders. So all 'Pure-blood families' are 'Wizarding families' which are all 'Families' by definition. Adding 'Malfoy family' to 'Pure-blood families' automatically puts it in 'Wizarding families' and 'Families' categories. Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk) 17:23, April 26, 2017 (UTC)

As I said before, the Categories are organized with sub-categories, so by adding "Sacred Twenty-Eight family" it also means "Pure-blood family", "Wizarding family", and "Families" automatically. There is no need to add the higher up categories to a page and the bot is going to automatically remove them during its next run so it really is a waste of time and effort. --Ironyak1 (talk) 00:22, May 21, 2017 (UTC)
I'll try one more time - the categories are arranged like sub-folder so all "Sacred-Twenty Eight" families are "Pure-blood" families, which are all "Wizarding families", which are all "Families". By adding "Sacred Twenty-eight family" to an article you are adding all the other categories as well. The bot automatically cleans up the category system so all the redundant categories you are adding to articles will be automatically deleted shortly. --Ironyak1 (talk) 17:24, July 15, 2017 (UTC)

Potter family edits

Hey. I have followed your edits to the Potter family page and noticed you have written quite a lot of in-depth information about the lives of James, Harry and the people they knew. The article about the family should be a general overview of their lives, i.e. their achievements, rather than an in-depth biography about them which belongs on their indiviual pages.

I also noticed you have added some fanon to the page as well. Please stop as your efforts will be undone. Feel free to add your thoughts to the discussion on the talk page before I start to clean up the page. -- Kates39 (talk) 19:42, May 10, 2017 (UTC)

Please stop removing the links to the main articles for each Potter individual. The page will offer a summary and the links lead to the full article. You are building up a history of unconstructive edits. --Ironyak1 (talk) 16:21, May 11, 2017 (UTC)
Again, please stop removing Main article links. As you were blocked from editing last time for this behavior, I would hope you would have learned from that experience. --Ironyak1 (talk) 19:37, May 19, 2017 (UTC)

Sorry, but I was just hoping to add in a few categories

RE Potter

I'm not sure I follow, but do you not agree with Potter family having sub-headings? It was discussed here: Talk:Potter family#Biography --Ironyak1 (talk) 00:57, May 21, 2017 (UTC)

Harry Potter

All of Harry's info for First year, Second year, etc is being moved to Harry Potter so any edits you want to make can be done there. Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk) 17:20, May 26, 2017 (UTC)

As discussed on Talk:First year#Transferring_Harry_Potter.27s_info, Harry's info belongs on his page as part of his biography. So this information is being moved, not deleted. You can still edit it at Harry Potter#First year and Harry Potter#Second year. --Ironyak1 (talk) 17:26, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
Please stop readding the information to the First year, Second year and Third year pages. It was decided as a community that the information is more relevant on other pages, such as Harry's, and were moved. You can edit the information on the other pages. Thank you. -- Kates39 (talk) 11:39, June 15, 2017 (UTC)

Order of Merlin

Merlin Bronze Order of Merlin (Third Class)
The Order of Merlin is awarded to you by Invisibility for having over one-thousand edits on the Harry Potter Wiki.
Congratulations friend. Invisibility 06:03, July 12, 2017 (UTC)

Timeline

All events that happen in a known year are on that specific year for the years 1900 - 2017. So Tom Riddle's birth is on 1926, etc... They should not be added back to the decade 1920s. Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk) 18:13, August 22, 2017 (UTC)

Okay just trying to help

Your edits

There have been some concerns raised over your edits in the past few months. In particular, that you've repeatedly added fanon material, made unhelpful additions to articles, and engaged in edit-warring. You've received multiple notices to this effect. Please try to be mindful of these notices and alter your behaviour accordingly. We appreciate all the hard work editors put into this wiki and are willing to offer guidance if it is needed. But we also want to maintain the quality of this wiki's articles and prevent editors from having to spend time undoing unhelpful edits. If your current pattern of unhelpful edits persists, it could lead to a longer block, or potentially even an indefinite ban. Starstuff (Owl me!) 02:25, August 23, 2017 (UTC)

I will add to this and comment that you are continually undoing other's work to correct the fragmentary and ungrammatical sentences you often create in your edits. Please try to respect and understand other people edits that fix the articles instead of insisting with your often jumbled wording. --Ironyak1 (talk) 01:07, August 25, 2017 (UTC)

Messages on other wikis

Stop following me onto other wikis to protest your block. I haven't prevented you from editing your talk page. You are still able to post on your talk page and appeal the block here on the HP Wiki if you wish to do so. Pestering the blocking admin on other wikis isn't likely to lead to a block being lifted or shortened. Starstuff (Owl me!) 00:11, September 7, 2017 (UTC)
