Vauxhall Road is a street in London, England. Tom Riddle bought the diary he would eventually make into a Horcrux at Winstanley's Bookstore & Stationers, a newsagent's on this street. The address of this business, which was printed on the back of the diary, lead Harry Potter to conclude that Tom was Muggle-born (he later learned that Tom was in fact half-blood).
Behind the scenes[]
- There is no Vauxhall Road in the real London. However, Vauxhall is the name of the London Borough of Lambeth's administrative district[1], and a Vauxhall Bridge Road is part of the London Inner Ring Road.[2] There's also a Vauxhall Street, which connects the Oval (a cricket ground) to Kennington Lane (A3204) and Black Prince Road.[3]
