Vernon Jay "Verne" Troyer was an American actor who physically portrayed Griphook in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He didn't reprise the role for the two-part film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and was replaced by Warwick Davis, who also portrays Filius Flitwick in the films and voiced Griphook in the first film.

Troyer was best known for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers franchise.
