This curse (incantation unknown) caused the victim considerable pain, agony, and illness for years afterwards. It could not be cured by any ordinary means, as both healing magic and Shrivelfigs had no impact. It was suggested that it could be cured through a Dark relic, though this was never attempted in practice.[1]
Known uses[]
It was used by Victor Rookwood on Anne Sallow during his and Ranrok's raid on Feldcroft in the 1880s, leaving Anne in considerable pain for years after, and forcing her to leave her studies at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[1]
