The Wand Permit Department was a department of the Magical Congress of the United States of America. It was probably a sub-division of another department, such as the MACUSA Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and was responsible for upholding the Federal Wand Law and maintaining the register of witches and wizards present in America who were in possession of a valid wand permit.[1] It encompassed the Wand Permit Office and the Central Wand Archive.
