A wand handle was the part of the wand that a wizard or witch gripped. It can be made from various magical materials, such as wood or enchanted metals, and influences the wand's power, personality, and responsiveness to its user's magic.[1]

History[]

In the late 19th century, wands and their handles could be purchased at Ollivanders, the wand shop in Hogsmeade. During this period, the wandmaker Gerbold Ollivander, made contributions to wand handle designs, allowing for more customisation and somewhat improved magical affinity.[1]

Lucius Malfoy, an aristocratic wizard, owned a distinctive wand handle shaped like a sleek, silver serpent, possibly symbolising his affinity with dark magic and Slytherin heritage.[2]
