- "Look, a fairy! I secretly cared for one at home once. Mum told me to get rid of it, but Nana let me hide it in her room."
- — Ivy Warrington about her childhood[src]
This witch was the mother of two daughters, Ivy and Winifred Warrington. Both of her daughters were also witches.[1]
Biography[]
Her daughters had their mother's surname instead of their father's.[2]
She didn't allow her daughter, Ivy, to have a fairy. However, her witch mother helped her granddaughter hide one in her room.[3] At some point in Ivy's first year, she was already no longer part of Ivy's family.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
- The Warrington sisters' mother was mentioned for the first time in random dialogue in the Forbidden Forest; in Year 1, Chapter 4, Ivy only mentioned her father and maternal grandmother as members of her family, plus she realised that she could not remember anything (she later realised that a Memory Charm had made her forget her twin sister's existence). It is unclear why their mother was not mentioned as a member of the family.
