Washburn Valley is a valley along the course of River Washburn, in Yorkshire, in the north of England.[2]

The author of Aquatic Wonders of Yorkshire: A Wizard's Field Guide collected a Grindylow specimen from Blubberhouses, in the Washburn Valley, showing the distinct physical traits of the local population: the work included a sketch of said Grindylow as an illustration of the surprising degree of physical variation among Yorkshire Grindylows.[1]
