The Werewolf Saga Tapestries, were a series of tapestries which told the story of a medieval witch who transformed into a werewolf, and thus secluded herself from her husband and daughter in order to keep them safe.[1]
The tapestries were located in a room in the Bell Tower Wing of Hogwarts Castle, alongside other werewolf-related memorabilia.[1]
Description[]
The seven tapestries in the collection initially appeared to tell the story of a noble lady who went out hunting with her husband and daughter and came across a werewolf during the hunt, with the lady then sewing a tent for her daughter to stay in.[2]
Upon casting the Wand-Lighting Charm on the tapestries, however, the tapestries changed and told a different story where the lady was hunted by her husband for being a werewolf, and she was unable to see her daughter because her husband kept their daughter from seeing her.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the game files, they are referred to as the 'Kempthorn' tapestries, which likely corresponds to the large 'K' seen in some of the tapestries.
- It is unknown whether the tapestries were created with the ability to show two stories, or if the tapestries were altered sometime after their creation.
