- "The Wiggenweld Potion will heal most common injuries. The more attentive of you will remember the most powerful form of the potion is prepared with only the freshest bark of the Wiggentree."
- — Severus Snape[src]
Wiggentree bark was the bark of the Wiggentree. Physical contact with Wiggentree bark provided magical protection from being harmed by Dark creatures.[1] For this reason it was used as a potion ingredient, particularly in the aptly named Wiggenweld Potion.[2][4][3] The fresher the bark was when used in potion-making, the more powerful its effects were, and only freshly-stripped bark could be used for the strongest Wiggenweld Potions.[3]
