This psychiatric hospital was located in Williamsburg, Virginia. It was the first dedicated psychiatric hospital constructed in an American city.[1]
History[]
The hospital was constructed after MACUSA president, Thornton Harkaway, left office circa 1760. Harkaway left his office in disgrace following a major breach of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy when a pack of Crups he had been raising savaged some local No-Majs, who were subsequently only able to bark for forty-eight hours afterwards. This attack may in fact have been the reason for the hospital's founding.[1]
