This man was a wizard who patronised the Leaky Cauldron.[1]

In the summer of 1993, in the Leaky Cauldron, he was reading the Muggle physics book A Brief History of Time by Stephen W. Hawking. He simultaneously performed wandless magic on his cup of coffee, causing it to stir itself.[1]
Magical abilities and skills[]
- Wandless magic: This wizard was capable of stirring a cup of coffee by simply using his hand.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- This wizard was portrayed by Ian Brown in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in a celebrity cameo.[2]
- His reading of a book titled A Brief History of Time can be interpreted as foreshadowing for the use of time travel later in the film.
- In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, the wizard is depicted with an entirely different appearance; he is depicted as an elderly grey-haired bearded wizard who wears red robes and a pointed red hat.[3]
