The Wollongong Warriors were a Quidditch team from Wollongong, Australia. Along with the Thundelarra Thunderers, they had dominated the Australian Quidditch League for the best part of the century. Their rivalry with the Thunderers was fierce and legendary among the Australian magical community.[1] The Warriors were the inventors of the Wollongong Shimmy.[2]

- Wollongong is a coastal city in the state of New South Wales in Australia. It is misspelled "Woollongong" in the original publication of Quidditch Through the Ages. The spelling was changed to "Wollongong" in the 2017 UK edition.
- The University of Wollongong is host to a Muggle Quidditch team that shares its name with its fictional counterpart.[3]
