"And we 'ave choirs of wood nymphs, 'oo serenade us as we eat."
Fleur Delacour on the Christmas feast at Beauxbatons[src]

Wood Nymphs are small magical creatures, possibly related to fairies and/or pixies. According to Fleur Delacour, they were used amongst the Christmas decorations at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, where they sung to the students.[2]

Behind the scenes

  • Given that nymphs are portrayed in Greek mythology as the protector spirits of their domains, it is possible that wood nymphs are merely another name for bowtruckles. However, in mythology, wood nymphs were typically known as dryads, which could also be another name for bowtruckles.
