The Woolworth Building is a 60-story skyscraper located on Broadway in the borough of Manhattan in the city of New York. It was built in 1913, and it held the record of the tallest structure in the world until 1930, when the Bank of Manhattan Trust Building was built.

The Woolworth Building houses the Magical Congress of the United States of America. The secret entrance to the government headquarters is through an ultra-fast-spinning revolving door that leads into a brilliantly lit grand lobby with a cathedral-like ceiling that reaches nearly 700 feet. A large and elaborate monument graces the MACUSA entrance, paying homage to those who died during the Salem Witch Trials. By the time the Woolworth Building was completed, it could both house No-Majs and – if activated by the correct spells – transform into a space for wizards. The only outer mark of the MACUSA’s new secret location was the owl carved over the entrance, by which wizards would wave their wands to in order to gain entry.

Behind the scenes

• It is possible that the building is not accessible through Apparition, as Porpentina Goldstein apparated near the building instead of inside of it, before using the front entrance while taking in Newt Scamander.
• As part of promotional efforts for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, searching for MACUSA on Google Maps will show the real-life location of the Woolworth Building labelled as MACUSA. However, searching by the full name of "Magical Congress of the United States of America" will provide no results.
