Biography[]

In 1932, outside Kowalski Quality Baked Goods in New York, he, Stanley, and their friend started deliberately harassing Eulalie Hicks while she was reading a book on a bench;[1] the goal was to lure Jacob Kowalski from his bakery, giving Lally the chance to recruit him to Newt Scamander's anti-Grindelwald movement. He was told to wildly wave his arms, with increasing intensity in order to draw Kowalski's attention, then turned as Jacob joined the scene, advancing on the Muggle with his friends flanking him, acting as if he was a normal workman and claiming when Jacob scolded them that he was not ashamed about bothering a lady. After Jacob told the men to leave, then offered Doyle the first blow, which he accepted after some hesitation, he was suddenly paralysed from behind by Eulalie, and, rising to a seated position, said it was the final time he would help her, and revealed he was a friend of them.[2]
