"Hey, Johnson, what's with that hairstyle, anyway? Why would anyone want to look like they've got worms coming out of their head?"
Pansy Parkinson taunts Angelina Johnson on her hairstyle[src]

The worm is an invertebrate animal consisting of a tube-like body with no legs.

As a very young child, Zygmunt Budge pretended to brew potions by using a bucket and handfuls of worms.[1]

Peter Pettigrew was commonly known by the nickname "Wormtail", presumably due to his Animagus form (the tail of the rat somewhat resembles a worm).

When Harry Potter told Hermione Granger about his belief that his father had saved him and Sirius Black from a Dementor attack, Buckbeak was digging in the earth, apparently in search of worms.[2]

Worms can be used as bait for fish. The Hogwarts potions champion dug up some worms to use for this purpose during the Wizarding Schools Potions Championship, planning to taint the caught fish with Shrinking Solution and feed them to the River Troll blocking their path.[1]
